Condensing technology
Pellet boilers with condensing technology also utilise the residual heat contained in flue gases. This additional heat gain is also the energy saving made possible by the condensing technology. The new generation of pellet heating systems with condensing technology is consequently particularly economical and energy efficient.
How does condensing technology work?
In the normal combustion of pellets, water accrues in vapour form in the flue gas and escapes unused through the chimney. However, it is precisely this water vapour that is cooled down below the condensation temperature with condensing technology. This process produces liquid condensate that in turn releases heat during the transformation. This additional heat gain is fed into the heating system, where it can be reused.
